Abstract
What if spaceports could be integrated into the global hyperloop network, enabling seamless transfers between earthbound and interplanetary travel, while enhancing passenger experience through technology and design?
Spaceport Nexus envisions a future where earthbound and interplanetary travel are intertwined. The building functions as a traffic machine while maintaining a human touch. It connects space flight to the strong Hyperloop network, accelerating human interplanetary habitation and shrinking space-time.
The Hyperloop is facilitated underground, where passengers transition from a compressed space to the open views the Spaceport has to offer, illustrating the grandeur of the travel they’re about to embark on.
Rising private development in spaceflight pushes the boundaries of what was once impossible. Vertical rocket landings make it possible to travel anywhere on Earth within 45 min. Strict safety measures and sound pollution with current technology ask for remote or offshore locations with the potential use of decommissioned structures. The traffic machine separates flows and provides carefree travel for passengers. Nexus shrinks space-time through its form and function, allowing for seamless transfers and facilitating the human transition to become a multi-planetary species.
