Yiming Liu joined ImPhys as PhD student

Yiming Liu will work on the topic of Digital Pathology in 3D. Together with Prof. Dr. Sjoerd Stallinga’s group and the cooperation & support of experts from Philips, they will try to improve the performance of the current setup in algorithms and architectures.

He obtained his master’s degree of photonics from Abbe School of Photonics, Friedrich Schiller University Jena in Germany, as well as a joint exchange program in TU Delft focusing on the Advance Optical Imaging. During his studies,  he has finished two internships in universities about the aberration theory and optimization algorithm in optical system design. After that, Yiming finished an industrial master thesis to carry out an optical wavelength selective and switches system design setup for telecommunication applications.
