Successful participation of HE department at the ESREL conference 2023.

• Davide Wüthrich’s Coastal Engineering Journal (edited by the JSCE) paper was  awarded the 2022 Coastal Engineering Journal Citation Award:  Wüthrich D., Pfister M., Nistor I. & Schleiss A.J. (2018): Experimental study on the hydrodynamic impact of tsunami-like waves against impervious free-standing buildings, Coastal Engineering Journal, 60:2, 180-199.
• Mart-Jan Hemel and co-authors won the best paper Telfort Premium Price  of the Institution of Civil Engineers. ICE’s Annual Awards are designed to recognise both outstanding civil engineering achievements and contributions to the profession and the Institution.
• Guus Rongen won 1 out of 3 PhD best paper award at the European Safety and Reliability  Association conference ESREL 2023. On a nice note, TU Delft won 2 out of the 3 prices as Ingeborg de Pater from Aerospace engineering also won an award.
• Maria Pregnolato and her colleagues were awarded kick-starter project “Nieuw Roffa 2100” by the Resilient Delta Initiative.
• MUDE has started and Robert Lanzafame and Patricia Mares are busy with our next batch of students at the different MSc programs of the faculty.
