Wirawan Agahari received Best Research-in-Progress paper at ECIS 2022
Wirawan Agahari was just awarded Best Research-in-Progress paper at the 30th European Conference in Information Systems (ECIS 2022), held in Timisoara, Romania, on 22-24 June 2022. It is one of the most prestigious conferences in the field of Information Systems.
He received this award for his paper “Rethinking consumers’ data sharing decisions with the emergence of multi-party computation: an experimental design for evaluation” written together with Mark de Reuver (Associate Professor and Head of the ICT section). In brief, this paper presents a first step in evaluating the impact of privacy-enhancing technologies called Multi-Party Computation (MPC) on individuals’ data-sharing decisions. The work is also part of the Safe-DEED project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.
