The Netherlands Asia Honours Summer School

Are you an ambitious, social and entrepreneurial bachelor student? Do you want to learn more about China and Southeast Asia through lectures, workshops and a summer trip? Do you want to gain consultancy skills?

Each year, the NAHSS gives students from all disciplines and Dutch universities the opportunity to experience Southeast Asia on an academic, business and cultural level. The programme starts end of March with a Kick-Off weekend, in which the selected students will get to know each other. This is also the beginning of the consultancy project (5-10 hours per week), where in multidisciplinary teams NAHSS delegates are working on solving a question for one of the partners, ministries or Dutch and Asian multinationals, related to the theme of this year: Sustaining Supply & Innovation.

 Moreover, the preparatory track in the Netherlands consists of a masterclass, inhouse days at our partners, lectures from Southeast Asia and China experts, soft skills training by PwC and McKinsey, and cultural activities such as the optional Chinese lessons. The highlight of the NAHSS is a three/four-week summer programme in July-August in Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City. In these cities, you will have the opportunity to explore business culture, follow academic lectures, and experience the cultures firsthand!
