Invitation to participate in the Social Simulation Festival
Researchers of the TPM faculty have a strong presence at the online Social Simulation Festival (15 – 19th March) this year. The Festival is an initiative of the European Social Simulation Association (ESSA) that wants to celebrate the role of social simulation research in improving our understanding of societies, economies and cultures. You are invited to participate in the event and/or to present your work.
Four sessions are organized by TPM researchers, focusing on:
- Using Simulation for Historical Studies: focusses on how historical hypotheses can be explained by simulating them in an artificial setting (Monday 15th March, 11:15-12:45 CET) by Molood Ale Ebrahim and Amineh Ghorbani
- Social Simulation in times of Crisis: discussing models developed for studying behavioral dynamics and policy impacts related to the COVID-19 pandemic (Tuesday 16th March (9:30 – 13:00 CET) by Virginia Dignum and Amineh Ghorbani
- Sensitivity Analysis Made Easy with the EMA Workbench (Tuesday 16th March (9:30 – 13:00 CET) by Mikhail Sirenko
- Modelling Values in Agents, Technologies & Institutions: focusing on how values can be modelling in socio-technical systems (Thursday 18th March, 1:30-4:30 PM) by Anna Melnyk and Amineh Ghorbani
