Sina Sadighikia joined ImPhys as a postdoc
Sina will be working on the technological development and industrial adaptation of multi-beam microscopes under the supervision of Jacob Hoogenboom and Pieter Kruit.
He did his PhD at Utrecht University. His doctoral research has involved the development of the Liquid Phase Electron Microscopy (LPEM) technique to study the self-assembly of colloidal silica nanoparticles in solution. More specifically, he studied the chemical and physical properties of colloidal silica nanoparticles in solutions at the single-particle level in real-time using LPEM.
During his Master’s studies at the University of Sabanci in Istanbul, Turkey, I worked on multiple research projects in the field of electron microscopy that mainly involved utilizing Dual-Beam FIB-SEM systems to reveal the micro and nano features within human dentin with high definition and accuracy.
