Momo Medical, ready to scale-up!

The YES!Delft startup Momo Medical has successfully completed an application for the Rabobank Innovation Loan (AIL). With this loan the company can work towards the first certified and sellable version of their Pressure Ulcer Prevention tool.

Momo Medical is a company that improves patient safety through technology. They do this by providing caregivers with the right information, at the right time. The Pressure Ulcer Prevention tool is their first medical device that provides insight in the prevention of pressure ulcers and makes prevention easier. It helps nurses in taking preventive action at the right time.

It is an innovative solution that gives insight in the movements and posture of the patient, in a nurse and patient friendly manner. The tool continuously monitors the movements and posture of the patient and collects data in order to make an intuitive visualisation of the posture of the patient.

In addition, the system can also provide nurses with notifications through the nurse call system. The Pressure Ulcer Prevention tool enables caregivers to measure repositioning of a patient, gives recommendations about when to do it, and can send a notification to the nurse when repositioning is overdue.
