BauHow5 event: Approaches to Circularity
In the framework of the BauHow5 initiative, a two-day event on Approaches to Circularity was held on 11 – 12 June 2018. The event addressed stakeholders from industry, government, and research to discuss a roadmap towards a circular built environment.
About 100 attendees listened to lectures from architects, researchers, industry, banking, and policy-makers. It concluded with an interesting debate regarding the meaning of circularity within the sustainability movement, its implementation within the institutional framework, and the role of the universities in supporting a transition towards a circular built environment.
The second day was dedicated to the development of research proposals between the BauHow5 partner universities.
BauHow5 is an alliance of five leading universities in Architecture and the Built Environment: Delft University of Technology (NL), University College London (GB), Chalmers University of Technology (SE), Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (CH), and the Technical University of Munich.
