Georgy Filonenko

I am an independent NWO Veni grantee at the ISE group. At TU Delft I work on organometallic sensors and imaging tags for soft matter visualization. Polymer mechanochemistry and soft matter dynamics are my main interests. Check out my latest publication on the topic: https://doi.org/10.1002/anie.201809108.

I graduated from Novosibirsk State University (2010) and got my PhD degree from TU Eindhoven with Emiel Hensen in 2015. Research life brought me to TU Delft after a two-tear postdoctoral tenure at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (Japan). Apart from my main interests I enjoy a long standing collaboration with Evgeny Pidko and his team for which I provide support in  organometallic chemistry and homogeneous catalysis.

Students with interest in photophysics, polymer chemistry and organometallics are welcome to join for majors and internships! Check out our flyers here or just drop by.
