T. (Theofilos) Spyrou PhD

Profiel

Theofilos Spyrou received his Diploma degree in electrical and computer engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2019, and the Ph.D. degree in information and communication technologies from Sorbonne University, Paris, France, in 2023. His Ph.D. dissertation was supported by Sorbonne Center for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI) with Fellowship and the topic was on the functional safety and reliability of neuromorphic computing systems. From 2024, he is a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Computer Engineering Laboratory (CE-Lab) at Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands. Dr. Spyrou was a recipient of the Best Student Presentation Award in 2023 IEEE European Test Symposium (ETS) and the winner of the Ph.D. Forum Contest in 2021 IEEE ETS. His research interests include neuromorphic computing and spiking neural networks (SNNs), energy-efficient edge artificial intelligence (AI), computation-in-memory (CIM)-based AI accelerators, hardware reliability and testing, among others.
