Profiel
Paul W Chan joined the Faculty of Architecture and The Built Environment at TU Delft in March 2019 as Professor of Design and Construction Management. Since his PhD study on construction labour productivity at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Paul has developed a track record in studying how people cope with organizational, social and technological change. He has managed a number of Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council funded projects in this regard. Prior to joining TU Delft, Paul led the Management of Projects Research Group at The University of Manchester, which runs one of the world’s largest MSc Programs in the field. He is Editor of Construction Management and Economics, and was a Past Chair of the Association of Researchers in Construction Management (ARCOM) from 2016-2018. He has authored/co-authored over 80 peer-reviewed journal and conference articles. He also co-authored Constructing Futures (2010), a Wiley-Blackwell book on leadership and futures thinking in the construction industry.
