Biografie
Matteo Baudino Bessone was born in Turin on the 22/06/1993. He is passionate about water and winter sports, football, history and cooking. Matteo has always been interested in energy, and pursued a BSc. in Nuclear and energy engineering from the Politecnico di Torino. Afterwards, he moved to the Netherlands, to attend a MSc. in Sustainable energy technology at the Delft University of Technology, where he specialised in Wind energy. During his Master he carried out an internship at Fraunhofer IWES, in Bremerhaven, implementing McCamy-Fuchs approach for hydrodynamic loads in the in-house aero-hydro-servo-elastic code. After his master, Matteo joined ERG Power Generation, a wind farm developer and operator based in Genova. He worked in the Feasibility Engineering team, focusing on resource assessment and power performance. Matteo started his PhD research at Delft University of Technology in October 2020, dealing with the application of multidisciplinary design analysis and optimisation (MDAO) methods to the design of floating wind farms. His research is part of the European Industrial Doctorate programme STEP4WIND.
