Biografie

Aleksandar Boricic received his Masters of Science degrees from KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm) and the Technical University of Eindhoven in the field of electrical engineering, with a focus on electric power grids with an increasing share of renewable energy sources (RES). He completed his master thesis externally at ABB Corporate Research Headquarters in Sweden, working on the influence of RES on transmission relay protection and mitigation of issues using advanced time-domain protection solutions. Prior to that, he completed his bachelor and specialization studies at the University of Montenegro, with a thesis in the field of power system transient stability. Furthermore, he worked as an Electrical Engineer in Transmission System of Montenegro and Electrical Engineer/Consultant at DNV-GL (KEMA). Since mid-2019, Aleksandar is a PhD candidate at TU Delft within the IEPG group, under the ReSident project. His research areas include power system stability, protection, and wide-area monitoring protection and control.
