Complete styling overhaul
Over the past few years we've had a lot of suggestions, comments and complaints regarding the old styling of the People Pages. And rightfully so!
Taking these comments and suggestions into account, we went back to the drawing board and created a new layout, new styling, new elements and even managed to incorporate additional data into this new kind of People Page, as you can see below (and as per November 1st, on www.tudelft.nl/en/staff)
Please note: only profiles with the publication preferences set to 'tudelft.nl' in E-Service are published online.
New elements
Most of the rows in the new People Pages layout have been made available as unique elements as well, instead of the old stand-alone People Pages-element
The following elements have been made available and can be added to any kind of page, displaying data based on a person's webidentifier.
New element: Research interest and Academic background
Research interest and academic background are two separate fields in Pure to tell more about one's background. When these fields are left empty, the element displays the profile information from E-Service, as a fallback scenario.
New element: Publications
Publications are imported from Pure and with this element you can add these on any page you like, as long as they are based on a person's webidentifier. By default, the newest five highlighted publications are displayed, but this can be switched back to 'just' the newest five.
Please note: Highlights are added in Pure
(Don't worry, we're working on importing them through topics and/or other queries as well)
New element: Courses
Coures are imported from Coursebase and with this element you can add these on any page you like, as long as they are based on a person's webidentifier. By default, the latest 2 active years are displayed, but this can be changed in the element.
New element: Media
Media entries are imported from Pure as well and (again) with this element you can add these on any page you like, as long as they are based on a person's webidentifier. By default, the newest five highlighted media entries are displayed, but this can be switched back to 'just' the newest five.
Please note: Highlights are added in Pure
New element: Prizes
Prizes are (again) imported from Pure and (again...) with this element you can add these on any page you like, as long as they are based on a person's webidentifier. By default, the latest five highlighted prizes are displayed, but this can be changed to 'just' the latest five from within the element.
Please note: highlights can be made from within Pure.
New element: Expertises
And last but not least: Expertises. These are the fingerprints registered in Pure, and once again: you can add them to any page you like, as long as they are based on a person's webidentifier. By default, the latest eight fingerprints are displayed, but this can be changed to any value from within the element.
Please note: Expertises are automatically generated fingerprints from Pure. Researchers can log in to Pure and remove any unwanted/unrelated fingerprints themselves.
