Our lab's mission is to develop computational models and algorithms that enable the acquisition, analysis, and study of human and animal movement.
The Computational Biomechanics Lab (CBL) primarily focuses on:
- Developing methods that quantify and explain the biological basis of movement - from the pathological to the exceptional
- Building neuromuscular and musculoskeletal models for use in physically accurate simulations
- Engineering open-source platforms that make our expertise accessible to the wider research community
We are a multidisciplinary lab with interests ranging from practical clinical research to pure algorithms. Our diverse team includes people from a variety of STEM backgrounds and we regularly collaborate to explore the latest trends in biomechanical research.
