Nowadays almost any process in the economy involves more than one organisation. The efficiency of these organisations depends on how well they coordinate their activities with the others. However, in many cases it is impossible or undesirable to solve the coordination problem centrally. In this research line we design methods where companies can coordinate their plans and schedules without sharing all relevant information and doing a large part of the optimisation and decision making locally. In this work we build upon earlier research on multiagent planning, decision support, and mechanism design (game theory and economics).
