Earth’s Treasury

The age-old fascination with enchanting stones and collecting them has produced an enormous collection of minerals and rocks.

The 'Treasure House of the Earth' tells this story of multiplicity and diversity with the collection of Science Centre Delft. This exhibition presents an interactive archive in which visitors can learn more about all the minerals and rocks within the collection. This is achieved through libraries about discovery, creation, application and scarcity of the minerals/rocks; aided by the use of touchscreen tables for navigation.

The entire length of the walls of the Prinsenkwartier are used to exhibit this collection. The dark space with light animations makes it an enchanting yet educational environment!
