Building blocks of society

Minerals are everywhere. They are in your toothpaste, car, toaster, the bricks of your house, and so on. Without ever realizing it, you use objects containing minerals every day. Within this exhibition, the use of minerals will be laid out to display where and what minerals play a role in our daily lives. This is achieved by displaying them in the places in which they are found, for example: what minerals are found in your coffee machine. Visitors enter the exhibition from the stairs, and are met with an impressive room where everyday objects are displayed on the walls. Crossing into the next room, there is the interior of a typical house but with minerals standing in for items, and thus displayed in unconventional places at unconventional angles.
