Stephanie Tan
Stephanie is a postdoctoral researcher in the Interactive Intelligence Group at TU Delft, supervised by Prof. Catholijn Jonker. She completed PhD degree at the Socially Perceptive Computing Lab at TU Delft, advised by Dr. Hayley Hung and Dr. David Tax. Previously, she completed MSc in computer science from Imperial College London and BSc in chemical engineering from California Institute of Technology (Caltech). She has also spent 1.5 years as an applied research scientist at Amazon.
Her research focuses on the automated analysis of face-to-face social interactions and the connection to the underlying social dynamics. Her work includes devising machine learning models to estimate human behaviors using multiple modalities and designing human-centered technology solutions for people and organizations.
