David Vermaas Lab | Electrochemical Flow Systems
Research interests
Conversion of renewable electricity into chemical products and fuels is one of the largest challenges for the next decade. My research focusses on electrochemical conversions, and in particular the mass transport on a microscopic level.
Specific interests are:
- Ion exchange membranes, including bipolar membranes
- Boundary layer dynamics
- Particle image velocimetry
- Electrochemistry (CO2 conversion, electrolysis)
- (Reverse) electrodialysis
- Redox flow batteries
