IFLA Information Literacy Section (ILS) Satellite Meeting
The Information Literacy Section (ILS) is thrilled to have the opportunity to organize the satellite meeting at the Delft University of Technology Library in Delft, Netherlands. We deeply appreciate their hospitality and generosity in providing their state-of-the-art facilities and extraordinary staff support as well as making this event with free registration.
By attending the satellite meeting, you will not only hear from a group of invited authors of the upcoming IFLA book on digital and media literacy but also actively participate in roundtable discussions with the speakers.
NB: registration is required and it will be closed when the number of registrants reaches 40 or by July 31, whichever comes first.

Dr Kwang Cham, Director of Education Research
Dr. Cham is an optometrist and a senior lecturer at the University of Melbourne. His educational scholarship interests include using digital technologies for feedback and assessment and inter-professional education. Dr. Cham has received numerous educational research grants and has presented at national and international conferences on the scholarship of learning and teaching. He is currently the Director of Education Research at The Melbourne School of Health Sciences. In recognition of his contributions to the scholarship of learning and teaching, Dr Cham received the University of Melbourne David White Award for Teaching Excellence in 2022.

Saloni Chaudhary, Senior Research Fellow
Saloni Chaudhary is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at the Department of Library and Information Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. She did her Graduation in Ancient Indian History, Culture & Archaeology, and Post-Graduation in Library and Information Science from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. She is also the recipient of the National Fellowship for Research (Junior Research Fellowship) provided by the University Grant Commission, India. Her area of interest is Scientometric, Digital Humanities, and Digital Literacy.

Mary Feeney, News Research Librarian and Liaison Librarian for History and Journalism
Mary Feeney is the News Research Librarian and Liaison Librarian for History and Journalism at the University of Arizona Libraries, where she collaborates with faculty and students in their research, teaching, and learning. She has led and participated in National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP) grants, a Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources Program grant, a Mellon-funded project, “Using Newspapers as Data for Collaborative Pedagogy,” and the creation of the UA Libraries’ Historic Mexican and Mexican American Press digital collection. She has presented and published about the use of newspapers in research, newspaper digitization, text mining, and teaching with primary sources.

Ana Krahmer, PhD, Director of the Digital Newspaper Unit
Ana Krahmer is the Director of the Digital Newspaper Unit out of University of North Texas Libraries, where she oversees the Texas Digital Newspaper Program, hosted on The Portal to Texas History. TDNP is the largest, single-state, open access digital newspaper preservation repository in the U.S., encompassing just under 10 million newspaper pages. On the side, Krahmer teaches Technical Communication in the UNT Tech Comm Department. Krahmer’s teaching includes critical thinking and information literacy components, in which she develops materials and activities related to news source analysis over time to examine and contextualize communication situations within their historical frameworks.

Jennifer Moore, Associate Professor and the Director of the School Librarianship Program
She teaches graduate-level courses in instructional technology in school libraries, school library management and program development, pedagogy in school libraries, youth programming in libraries, and youth literature. Her recent scholarly interests include evidence-based practice in school libraries and integrating computational thinking into LIS curriculum, and her research has been supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Viktor Mutev, PhD, Associate Professor
Viktor Mutev holds the position of Associate Professor at the Medialogy and Literature Department (LIS School) and Scientific Secretary of the Dissertation Committee for Scientific Specialty “Library Science, Bibliography and Book Science” at St. Petersburg State University of Culture. He has published more than 40 works on topics such as book science, media, LIS methodology, LIS education, information policy and library management. He is a designer and instructor of courses: “Media-communications in LIS” and “Analysis of news and advertisements”, exclusive for Russian LIS educational system. Viktor is a member of the IFLA News Media section Standing Committee.

Mr Darryl Toerien, Head of Inquiry-Based Learning
Darryl Toerien is Head of Inquiry-Based Learning at Blanchelande College, Guernsey. He is a co-opted member of the Board of the UK School Library Association, an elected member of the Standing Committee of the IFLA School Libraries Section, and a member of the International Association of School Librarianship. He is also originator of FOSIL (2011) and the FOSIL Group(2019). FOSIL – Framework Of Skills for Inquiry Learning – is based on the work of Barbara Stripling as reflected in the Empire State Information Fluency Continuum, and is included in Models of Inquiry (2022) in the IFLA / De Gruyter Global Action for School Libraries series.
