With pleasure the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment announces that Laure Itard (Le Mans, 1964) has been appointed as Professor Building Energy Epidemiology.

‘Open science en open access worden de norm’
Alle nieuwe boeken en journals die door medewerkers van BK City worden geschreven, ge-edit of uitgegeven worden, moeten voortaan open access zijn. Daarmee wordt alle kennis die op de faculteit wordt gegenereerd publiekelijk toegankelijk voor iedereen die over een internetverbinding beschikt.

Bright new showcases at faculty library
The faculty library has been enriched with six brand new bright red showcases. The showcases were created by BK Alumnus Pieter Stoutjesdijk, based on a winning design by student Frederic Engasser.

Sustainable Urbanisation Global Initiative grant
Grants awarded: the Sustainable Urbanisation Global Initiative (SUGI) includes 15 research projects focused on creating innovative and integrated solutions on the nexus between food, water, and energy. Amongst others, the M-NEX project from AE&T has been awarded funding to start work on 1 April.

The role of stations in future metropolitan areas
What will the role and function of the station of the future be? The Delft Initiative for Mobility and Infrastructure (DIMI) awarded a € 87.500,- research grant to Manuela Triggianese and Roberto Cavallo to research possible answers to this question in a cross-disciplinary program.
