Exchange and Free mover

TU Delft is the largest and most all-round university of technology in the Netherlands. The University enjoys a good international reputation. We lead the way in research into technological innovations. Our teaching is always up-to-date, practical and constantly fuelled by our research.

We offer a wide variety of courses and modules to foreign students. As exchange student or free mover you can follow part of a Bachelor or Master programme. We offer 16 Bachelor’s programmes and over 35 Master’s programmes in the fields of science, engineering and design. All our Master’s programmes are taught in English, as well as (at the moment) the Bachelor’s programmes Aerospace Engineering and Applied Earth Sciences. The Bachelor’s Nanobiology is partially in English and the other Bachelor’s programmes are offered in Dutch. However, the number of available courses taught in English in the TU Bachelor programmes will continue to increase in the coming years. Currently, over 250 of available bachelor courses are taught in English.

Exchange students

Exchange students are students participating in an Erasmus+ programme, or students from a university that has a bilateral agreement with TU Delft (partner university). Exchange students are 'non-degree' students, which means that you do not receive an academic degree or a diploma. The study period at TU Delft is part of the study Bachelor or Master programme at your home university; credits gained at TU Delft are transferable. Read more

Free mover students

Free mover students are 'non-degree' students, making their own arrangements. As a free mover student you are not involved in an Erasmus+ exchange programme or any other bilateral agreement and are required to pay tuition fee at TU Delft. Read more
