You may apply for admission in the last year of your BSc programme. TU Delft may conditionally admit you with a deadline date for obtaining your degree.

If you wish to apply for the Spring Semester, starting in February 2015, you still need to send hard copy documents to TU Delft Central International Office. The digital upload system will be available as from 1 October.

Application and procedure

Our on-line application form for the MSc programmes 2015-2017 is available between 1 October 2014 and 1 April 2015. Once the application deadline has passed, it will no longer be possible to apply. 

To start an MSc application, fill in and submit the online application. After submitting your on line application, you will receive an e-mail with the link to the upload portal of TU Delft. This portal allows you to upload the required documents.

The on-line application form can be accessed through the following linkThe digital upload facilities will be available as from 1 October 2014. Our deadline is very strict and that applications must be complete before these deadlines. Applications received after the deadlines will not be considered for admission.

Please note that you may apply for one MSc programme only and that incomplete applications and applications submitted by e-mail will not be processed.

Outcome of  your ApplicationThere is a rolling admissions process for the MSc programmes. This means that complete applications will be reviewed upon receipt. You will be notified of the outcome within six weeks following the receipt of your completed application (this could increase to eight or ten weeks close to the application deadlines).

A variety of scholarships are awarded to TU Delft admitted students with exceptional promise and outstanding academic achievements. Scholarships are awarded by the university, by specific faculties, by departments or industry partners.

  • TU Delft Excellence Scholarship
    Within the TU Delft Excellence Scholarship programme, we offer two types of scholarships: Justus van Effen Scholarships, and DRI/Insitutes Scholarships. Information about these scholarships and requirements can be found here.

    -  Justus van Effen Scholarships.
    To be considered for these scholarships, your complete application for an MSc programme must be received by TU Delft International Office before 1 December of the preceding year. All students meeting this deadline who have been (conditionally) admitted to one of the MSc programmes of TU Delft will be considered for these scholarships. There is no separate application procedure for the scholarship.

    - DRI/Institutes Scholarships
    To apply for a DRI/Institutes scholarship you should download the Scholarship Application Form, available as from 1 October and upload the form together with the required documents for your MSc application. Deadline for the DRI/Institute Scholarship is 1 December 2014.
  • TU Delft Faculty Scholarships and Industry Scholarships
    TU Delft offers an array of scholarships through the faculties, sometimes in cooperation with industry partners. Scholarships range from (partial) tuition waivers to full scholarships covering all tuition fees plus living expenses. Deadlines for the Faculty and Industry Scholarships may vary.   • Other scholarships and awards
    Information on other scholarships and awards for admitted TUD MSc students can be found here. Please note that the deadlines for the different scholarships may vary.

Application fee
All applicants are required to pay an application fee of € 100 *. Two methods of payment are possible:

  1. by credit card or
  2. by bank transfer 

* The application fee is only refundable to students who will actually start their MSc studies in Delft.  

Were you admitted last year and wish to reapply?
If you were admitted last year and wish to re-apply: please fill in and submit the online application using your existing login name and password and provide us with a copy of the (on-line) 'Summary application' page by e-mail. We have retained your hard copy application documents on file; you do not need to send them again. For a number of MSc programmes the English language requirement has changed. You need to meet the new requirement. Please note that students who re-apply for the 2015 – 2017 MSc programme need to pay the application fee (€ 100) and provide us with a document that proves payment of the application fee.

Spring semester for a limited number of MSc programmes
Some of TU Delft’s MSc programmes offer a spring semester start. These programmes are:

  • Design for Interaction
  • Integrated Product Design
  • Strategic Product Design
  • Marine Technology - Design, Production and Operation Track
