Collaboration between universities
In the memorandum ‘Added Value’ (Meer Waarde), Leiden University, TU Delft and Erasmus University Rotterdam, outline their plans to form a strategic alliance aimed at further improving the quality of education and research, raising the profile of the curriculum, and strengthening the international positioning of their research. The document is the result of a bottom-up process that took place over the last months at these three universities. More than 50 meetings took place, covering the added value of continued collaboration. This led to a range of suggestions for joint activities. The ‘Added Value’ memorandum outlines these activities and over the coming weeks will be discussed further with the universities’ advisory bodies. In May, the definitive memorandum will be presented to Halbe Zijlstra, Secretary of State for Education, Culture and Science.
